Reader’s Edyn

I always felt like I could do something more than just read. Finally, I have found both a creative outlet and a chance to do something meaningful with my reading. This blog was created in appreciation of and tribute to all of the authors who have brought me joy through their books. These reviews are my way of giving back to authors and providing recognition for the hard work that each one completes every day!

Interview with author Berengaria Brown

Ellora’s Cave Feature Month
Brought To You By
Reader’s Edyn

Interview with author Berengaria Brown

What’s up peeps? I am crazy excited about today and the entire month! Yep! I said entire month! I have darn near every day booked with an Ellora’s Cave author! The author may have been previously published with EC or is currently published with EC. Either way you will be learning an awful lot about the Ellora’s Cave authors this month. I hope you will continue to join us for this exciting adventure! You are sure to find it very entertaining! So let’s get on with it!

My first EC author is Berengaria Brown. Here is her bio from the EC website.

**BIO**

Variety is the spice of life. Berengaria Brown loves reading erotic romance, all different kinds of erotic romance. One man/one woman, two men, two women, two men, and a woman, three men–

But since her favorite authors could not write as fast as she could read, one day Berengaria decided to try writing a book herself. While she was waiting to hear back from the publisher she wrote another one, and another one. Now Berengaria is a multi-published author with books right across the spectrum of erotic romance. Whatever your taste, Berengaria has a book for you. And she is thrilled to be here at Ellora’s Cave.

Please help me welcome:

**BERENGARIA  BROWN**

**INTERVIEW**

You write various scenarios in your erotic books. Are there any advantages to writing such a wide range of stories? Are there any disadvantages?
I like to read all different genres, so that’s the way I write: contemporary, paranormal, historical, MM, FF, MF, menage. I think it stops me getting stuck in a rut, or repeating the same themes over and over again.

How has your life changed since becoming published?
Unfortunately I am yet to get on the New York Times bestseller list, so the day job is still a reality for me.

What is your typical day like?
I like to check emails, blogs, chat loops, Facebook, and so on first thing in the morning. Then when I get home from work I do it all again, and then it’s time to write.

Tell us a little about “Combustion”.
“Combustion” has received three reviews and all of them gave it their top score, so I’m very excited about that.

Blurb
Xonra Gibson attends the memorial service for a friend, and is embarrassed to be attracted to the broad-shouldered hunk squeezed into the chair next to her at the overcrowded event. It turns out the delicious Glenn Hilton is partnered to the equally yummy Morgan McLean.

Xonra allows her hormones to lead her to the men’s apartment for an incredibly hot one-night stand and three fiery orgasms, a personal record for her. The men are determined to spend more time with Xonra and get tickets for a weekend at Berisford Village a historical tourist attraction whose owner happens to be a difficult client at Xonra’s PR firm. The village is fascinating, the accommodation luxurious and the orgasms stupendous, but Xonra is convinced something under the surface at the village is wrong.

How do you keep in contact with your readers (twitter, FB, etc.)?
I’m on both Facebook and Twitter just with my name, BerengariaBrown

Friend me on Facebook

What is your favorite thing about this book?
I love the way Xonra goes after what she wants, but still keeps a level head about it. When she first meets the two men she phones Morgan’s sister to check he’s not an ax murderer!

What’s next for Berengaria Brown?
I’ve just finished a historical series, and I’m thinking of doing something a little different next. I just don’t know what yet!

When did you begin your journey as an author and what pulled you in the direction of writing?
It was simply that I didn’t have any new books to read. So I sat down and wrote a book. When I finished it, I still didn’t have any new books to read, so I wrote another one, and another one, and another one…..

Was there something in particular that gave you the idea for this book?
I attended a funeral where there were way too many people squeezed into the room. And I thought, “What if the man whose body is plastered to mine was young, unattached, gorgeous….?”

What about Morgan and Glenn and Xonra made you want to put them together?
Xonra is a very strong, organized, professional person. She needed two strong men to match her.

Any advice you’d like to share for aspiring writers?
Never give up. Keep reading. Keep writing. Keep perfecting your craft.

What is one thing you know now that you wish you had known when you first started writing?
How to build my own website. I had an author friend help me a lot at the start, otherwise I would never have survived.

If you could travel back in time, where would you go and who would you meet?
I was first attracted to historical romance by reading Georgette Heyer. So the Regency period fascinates me greatly. But I’d want to come back. I can’t live without the internet!

Do you have any other hobbies or interests besides writing?
Reading. I began as a reader and I still read a lot of books all the time.

Salty or Sweet?
Sweet. I adore chocolate.

Alcoholic or Non-alcoholic?
Whatever.

What is your favorite drink?
Coke.

What is your favorite holiday?
Somewhere hot, lying on a beach or in a hammock with a good book.

Favorite place you have ever visited?
Hawaii.

Favorite childhood memory?
When I was about twelve and my father gave me his adult library card because I’d read all the books in the children’s section of the library.

Boxers or briefs?
Commando.

E-reader or Paperback?
Both.

Flowers or chocolate?
Both.

I want to thank Ms. Brown for appearing today and for taking the time to answer my questions. Ms. Brown has several books out with a few different publishing companies. If you visit her blog at the link included in the interview, you can check them all out. But for today, I would like to share a few of her Ellora’s Cave titles with you.

**BOOKISH  AROUSAL**
Part of the Ellora’s Cave QUICKIES series

**BLURB**
Audrey has no trouble achieving orgasms reading erotic romance novels alone in her bed at night. Whether with her fingers or her favorite plastic friend, orgasms are assured. But her last boyfriend labeled her frigid when she failed to be aroused by sex with him.

Now she is madly in lust with a truly delicious work colleague, Yanni. But when they go to bed, nothing happens—she’s devastated that, despite her lust for him, her body refuses to be aroused.

Yanni is determined to romance her until her body cooperates. Maybe some dirty sex talk—and other assistance—will get her aroused!

**FLASH  FLOOD**

**BLURB**
Phoebe is on her way to a business meeting when a landslide causes a wall of water to flood the road, sweeping her car into a river. She’s pulled to safety by Connor and Patrick…and a night of extremely satisfying, “thank God I’m alive” sex seems a fitting end to the day.

With a week off work to recover, Phoebe is invited to accompany the men on a business-and-pleasure trip. They have a great time and the sex is awesome, but Fi is unsettled by emotional undercurrents that she can’t quite grasp. Oddest of all, she finds herself humming “For I am a Pirate King”, possibly because of Connor and Patrick’s tendency to tell pirate jokes. Or maybe not…

**COMBUSTION**

**BLURB**
Xonra Gibson attends the memorial service of a friend, and is embarrassed to be attracted to the broad-shouldered hunk squeezed into the chair next to hers at the overcrowded event. It turns out the delicious Glenn Hilton is partnered to the equally yummy Morgan McLean.

Xonra allows her hormones to lead her to the men’s apartment for an incredibly hot one-night stand and three fiery orgasms, a personal record for her. The men are determined to spend more time with Xonra, and purchase tickets for a weekend at Berisford Village, a historical tourist attraction whose owner happens to be a difficult client at Xonra’s PR firm.

The village is fascinating, the accommodation luxurious and the orgasms stupendous. In fact, the only downside to the weekend is Xonra’s feeling that there’s something  not quite right about Berisford…

**EXCERPT**
(adult content)

While they’d been soaking, the bubbles had dissipated and Xonra became aware of the men’s gazes fixed on her breasts, which were now clearly visible under the water. She stared down through the water and was pleased to notice two upstanding cocks.

“I could help you out with your problems,” she offered, glancing from the men’s cocks to their faces.

“I don’t want to waste it. I’d rather save it for a little later,” Morgan said huskily.

“Me too.” Glenn slid across the tub and pulled her toward them both, holding her lightly in front of them, one hand trailing across her breast reverently.

The men looked at each other, nodded, then spoke in tag-team fashion. “How do you feel about taking the two of us inside you?”

“Together.”

“Double penetration.”

Sweat broke out across Xonra’s forehead, her heart started to beat faster and harder and a flood of cream dripped from her pussy. “I’ve been thinking about that. I want it so much.”

“You do?” A huge grin split Morgan’s face and he tugged her legs onto his thighs. “We’ll make sure you are properly ready for us. You will enjoy it, we promise.”

“It’ll be the best orgasm you’ve ever had,” added Glenn, moving in behind her and pressing his hard-muscled chest against her spine.

Xonra leaned back and rested her head against his shoulder. “I know you’ll both look after me. You’re very considerate lovers.”

“Oh we will, we will.” Glenn cupped her breasts in his palms, gently massaging the globes, teasing a finger along the sensitive underside, then painting across the nipple with a few of the lingering bubbles.

Morgan was massaging her calves, her ankles, her feet, pressing the pads of his fingers into all the dips and hollows, easing the muscles and tendons, soothing and stroking her skin, then playing with each toe in turn.

Xonra closed her eyes and reveled in their touches. Both had large, strong hands, Glenn’s very tanned against her paler skin, whereas Morgan’s skin color was close in shade to hers. But Morgan’s fingers were longer and leaner, his stroking more rhythmic, and he used the heel of his palm in a unique way to massage her.
Glenn’s touch was firmer, more determined, but just as arousing in its own way. Now he was twisting and stretching her nipples, elongating them and pinching them. Morgan had lifted her right leg high in the air and was licking behind her knee, then puffing hot air on the place he’d licked. Despite the fact that they were in a hot tub full of water and surrounded by steamy air, it was still an incredibly erotic thing to have done to her.
