Reader’s Edyn

I always felt like I could do something more than just read. Finally, I have found both a creative outlet and a chance to do something meaningful with my reading. This blog was created in appreciation of and tribute to all of the authors who have brought me joy through their books. These reviews are my way of giving back to authors and providing recognition for the hard work that each one completes every day!

Spotlight: Risky Return by Nicole Helm

Spotlight with author Nicole Helm

Hey all! Today I have a new post to share with you along with the old one previously posted. You get two posts today! Whoot! Great way to end the week, I think. Today’s author is new to me. I liked the sound of the book and the look of the cover when I first saw them. Those two things guarantee that I will post about the book, which equals WIN for you! Nevermind that it is from Entangled and that I really enjoy that publisher. *wink* I hope you are all ready to find out more about this author and her latest release. So sit back, relax, and let’s dig in! *whispers* I also have a GIVEAWAY to share with you so make sure to get the deets and enter for your chance to WIN! Please allow me to introduce to the blog:

**Nicole Helm**

Nicole Helm grew up with her nose in a book and a dream of becoming a writer. Luckily, after a few failed career choices, a husband, and two kids, she gets to pursue that dream.

Nicole lives in Missouri with her husband and two sons, and writes her novels one baby's nap at a time. She's slightly (okay, totally) addicted to Twitter (@nicolethelm), loves watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and her dream is to someday own a barn.

Blackmail never felt so right.

Celia Grant has spent the last ten years keeping her past at bay, building her Hollywood reputation as America's Sweetheart. When ex-boyfriend Ryan Harrington threatens to reveal her darkest secrets, she has no choice but to return to Demo, Kansas, and the people she left behind. In exchange for Ryan's silence, she will appear in a reality television show that promises to save his family's legacy.
Ryan Harrington knows an opportunity when he sees one, and using Celia to save his family is one he can’t ignore. But he didn’t count on the pull they still have on each other.
Celia reminds herself that she and Ryan were never destined to have a happily ever after ending like in the movies she stars in. But even as the ghosts of her past refuse to be suppressed any longer, she finds herself tempted by the hopes of a love she never thought she could have.Between secrets, fame, and love, Celia’s made the riskiest return of all.

I like it. It kind of has a Sweet Home Alabama feel to it. Go back home to tidy things up and possibly catch the one that you could have had all along? Something like that. Love it! This one will be a great one to curl up to with a steaming mug of tea next to a roaring fire. Yeah, it’s April, but we had snow yesterday. And we need more in my neck of the woods. A lot more. So bring on the cold weather. *whispers* Besides, the weather gives me more excuses to stay inside curled up with a good book. *nods* Muwahahahaha! Don’t judge! You know you like it! So what do you think? Do you like the books that bring a main character back to a place left behind to find out what had been missing that wasn’t previously realized? Wow! What a sentence … Or do you prefer fresh starts in new places with the past left in the past? Your feedback is always welcome! I love to read your comments. So feel free to let us know!

I hope that you all will take the opportunity to check this book out. If you have already, please let me know what you thought. If you enjoyed what you experienced here today, please consider doing one of the following in both supporting the author and your future reading experiences with her: Add the book to you TBR list; purchase a copy of the book for yourself or a friend; and/or write a review of the book and post it online (just a couple of sentences is enough).

I hope that you all enjoyed your time spent here today and hope to see you again soon. Don’t forget to enter the GIVEAWAY for your chance to WIN! Who doesn’t want a $50 gift card? I mean you have absolutely nothing to lose except a chance at winning. So enter! NOW! Have a fabulous day! Until next time …
