Reader’s Edyn

I always felt like I could do something more than just read. Finally, I have found both a creative outlet and a chance to do something meaningful with my reading. This blog was created in appreciation of and tribute to all of the authors who have brought me joy through their books. These reviews are my way of giving back to authors and providing recognition for the hard work that each one completes every day!

Follw My Book Blog Friday - 3

**Welcome to the Feature & Follow**

If you are new to the #FF fun, Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of course and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
Now to make this #FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. If you are interested in becoming a Feature click on the drop down link (on Parajunkee's site) above FEATURES --> Feature and Follow Hop --> and get on the waiting list! It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs.

**Parajunkee's Feature – Book Den**

I’m Jennifer from Book Den. I love any story that is imaginative, but my favorite books are usually dark and suspenseful.

I started blogging this past year in order to connect with more readers. I love recommending books to others and getting great recommendations in return. The blogging world has been a tremendous resource for finding awesome reads!

**Allison Can Read's Feature – Pawing Through Books**

Hi, my name is Peggy. I'm 26, recently married, and have a fur baby, Bella. When I'm not reading I am relaxing with the hubby, taking walks with the pup, going to the movies and concerts, and yes, shopping. I'm ridiculously addicted to lip balm and iced coffee, you can usually find me with both! My family often laughs at me about how much lip balm I carry with me on any given day. I love photography and often find myself wanting to rekindle this love and start shooting again. I listen to all sorts of music, from Katy Perry to Paramore to Killswitch Engage. Though, I'm not a fan of country or rap. No offense to those that like it, I just can't get into it. I love to read and recently decided to start a blog. I do have a few book loving friends, but I wanted to be able to share my love for books with more people. I am loving this welcoming Book Blogging community and am so glad I decided to take the plunge and start my blog! I read a lot of YA books, though I do read the occasional adult books as well. Twilight, yes I said it, was the book that kindled my love for YA and I'm not ashamed to say it! I am addicted to the dystopian genre right now, thanks to The Hunger Games. Loved them!

**Question**

Q:Count the number of unread books sitting on your shelf.

How many?

A: Does this include Kindle? If so ... *head desk* 130 - not including the 3 ARC's that just came in the mail today. *sheepish grin*

**Okay ... Rules**

To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say “hi” in your comments and that they are now following you.
  5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don’t just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don’t say “HI”
  6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love…and the followers
  7. If you’re new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

  1. Hopping through. Wow - 130 is a lot - although I'm amazed at how many bloggers have even more than that. Great to have books to read.

  2. WOW. That's a lot of books, but not as many as I have. E-Readers are great. Arc's are always nice to get. Great job.

  3. @Alison - I thought I was doing terrible with all of those books, but you are right. I don't feel so bad now after seeing some of those other numbers. Yikes! But I am determined to prevail. I got a late start last year. I am looking forward to a full year of reading and progress within my TBR pile. :)

@Grace - I do love my Kindle, but there is still nothing like holding that book in my hand. Although I would love to have a "real" Kindle. Mine is on my Droid - very small screen. But it works for now. :) And I love, love, love getting ARC's. Makes me crazy happy to have the opportunity to be one of the ones to read it first. :)

  4. I didn't even want to count the books that I have on my nookcolor considering I already have so many books on my shelf already. =] New follower. =]

  5. @Michael - Sheesh! I saw your number. 95 without your Nook books? Holy cow! But hey, it is a hazard of book lovers, yes? The year is young and I am sure you will successfully dwindle that TBR number down. Thanks very much for stopping by!

  6. I thought MY number was high but it looks so easy compared to some of the values I have seen today. And yours isn't too bad either! :)

  7. @Sam - Yeah, my number doesn't seem so bad anymore. LOL It is still much higher than yours, but I am still confident that I can make a huge dent within these books. :) I am sure you will too. Heading to your blog to check it out now. Thanks very much for stopping by!

  10. @Jennifer - Thanks so much for stopping by. I totally know what you mean by "afraid to count". I saw that question and I was like, WOAH, I don't think so. Luckily my number didn't turn out so bad. :) But I think with a whole year in front of us we have a great chance to knock those numbers down. Congratulations on being featured this week! And thanks very much for the follow.

  12. @Giselle - For serious! I was like ACK! I didn't even want to find out. Now all I have to do it knock some off the list each month. Easy, right? *snort*

  13. Thanks for stopping by my blog! This question has been quite interesting this week. Loved seeing everyone's numbers. Hope you get through them all sometime soon! :)

  14. @Pawing - No problem. I love the opportunity to see other blogs that I may not have come across otherwise. :) And the question was indeed interesting. Turned out a lot better than I had anticipated when I initially read it. :)
